Buying from America VS UK

Postby elastic » Fri Jul 30, 2010 10:33 am

Hi,

I live in the UK and I am looking at buying the UAD2 Quad Omni pack, and was wondering if there was any difference if i bought it from America instead of the uk, as i can get it a bit cheaper if i buy it from America.

I have a mac pro and run logic pro 9, if that makes any difference.

Thank you for any help or advice.

I can vouch for buying stuff from JRR shop in the US whilst living in the UK.

You must take into account that you will receive s duty invoice demanding VAT from you and it's likely that the shipper (I recall JRR use Fedex) also hit you for an admin fee (under a tenner) for the pleasure of processing the invoice demand for you.

So, in short, don't forget to add the VAT to get the real price.

PS - if you do buy from JRR they provide a discount coupon code for members of this board - that softens the blow of the VAT. You should be able to track it down on this board or message Eric at JRR for info - he posts on here a lot.
All of us are lying in the gutter, but some of us are puking down the drain....
